Rynn is an English girl, loves to read and write and doesn’t get along with the people of her age, she just moved from England with her father, a famous poet, to the coast of the United States.

Mrs. Hallet is who rented the house to Rynn and her father but now she regrets doing it,  and Frank Hallet, her son, is attracted by young ladies

Her father has said to her: ‘’survive’’, and she is ready to do whatever she has to, to survive.
